Varsha Usgaonkar Career
Varsha has many Marathi films to his credit like Navari Mile Navryala, Dhumakul, Lapandaav, Sawat Majhi Ladki, Aflatoon, Gadbal Gotala among others. She also played the lead actress in Bollywood films Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi and Pathreela Raasta. In 2005 Varsha appeared in the Bollywood films Mangal Pandey and Mr. Ya Miss as a supporting actress. In the controversial Hindi film directed by Faisal Saif, Jyjiasa, Varsha played the role of the mother of Hrishita Bhatt.
The role of Uttara, Abimanyu’s wife and mother of Parikshit (the future of the Bharat dynasty in the Mahabharata) marked a turning point in her career, and in fact, was remembered for her brief performance in the epic. Varsha began her television career in the late 1990s, after taking a break from films. Varsha has appeared in Marathi shows Eka Mekansathi and Aakash Zep, and has also appeared in Indian TV series Alvida Darling, Tanhaa, and Anhonee. She has two sisters, Manisha and Tosha. She is the daughter of a former Goas spokesperson.
