Ratan began her acting career with the TV series DD1 House That, where she played Palavi’s older sister.
In 2011, she participated in the marriage reality TV show Swayamvar Season 3 Ratan Ka Rishta which aired on Imagine TV where she got engaged to Abhinav Sharma but later broke up due to some personal issues.
In 2013, she participated in Bigg Boss Season 7’s reality show but was fired after four weeks at home.
She won several awards in 2009 for her role as Kali in the TV series Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, including the Zee Rishtey Award for Popular Female Face of the Year, 9th Telly Award for Indian Popular Actress, and Kalakaar Award for Al Best Actor (Female). and an ITA Award for Best Actress.
