Jerry was first married to a girl named Sandy Hill, also known as Sandra Hill, who was a socialite, mountain climber, author, and former fashion designer. She became the 34th woman to reach the top of Mount Everest. Unfortunately, they were unable to extend their married life and divorced after a year in 1978. After their divorce, both of them had several relationships and were married twice. Sandy married Robert Pittman (d. 1979; div. 1997) and After that Thomas Dittmer (d. 2001; div. 2011).

Being separated from Sandy, Jerry was married for the second time to Kathy Solomon, who was a tournament manager at his company ProServ, and they were married for the first time while working at ProServ.
